Children
I provide occupational therapy for children as they grow and navigate the different stages of childhood. Therapy is grounded in a genuine, trusting relationship, with sessions that are playful, engaging, and guided by each child’s interests. My focus is on helping children feel confident, capable, and equipped with practical tools to manage challenges and participate in everyday life.
I take the time to understand each child, tuning into their sensory needs, their personality, and what motivates them. By creating the right environment and a sense of safety and connection, children are supported in a way that feels natural and meaningful.
Therapy can support with:
- Play, learning, and engagement
- Managing feelings and emotional regulation
- Supporting connection and meaningful relationships
- Everyday routines and self-care (e.g. personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, sleep)
- Sensory processing and responses to sensory input
- Attention and managing impulses
- Movement skills (including muscle tone, motor planning, and body awareness)
- Fine motor skills (e.g. drawing, writing, cutting, dressing)
- Visual skills for learning (e.g. tracking, visual memory, visual-motor integration)
- Executive functioning (e.g. planning, organisation, and flexible thinking)
- Equipment recommendations to improve safety, comfort, and independence
