Philosophy

At Rhythm OT, therapy is collaborative, individualised, and grounded in real-life experiences, following what matters most to each person, including their pace, their environment, and their goals.

The name Rhythm OT reflects the belief that every person has their own natural pace and way of engaging with the world. Therapy works best when we tune into that rhythm, recognising when to support, when to challenge, and when to allow space for independence, creating the conditions for growth that feels supportive, engaging, and sustainable.

Rhythm is present in all aspects of life, including movement, relationships, routines, breathing, sleep, and regulation. When supported, people are better able to feel calm, engage with the world, and build skills and confidence in ways that matter to them.

There is a strong emphasis on connection to self, others, and the environment. Therapy extends beyond traditional clinical settings into homes, schools, community spaces, and natural environments, where skills are developed in authentic and functional ways.
